Built by an operator, for operators.
Most marketing software is built by people who’ve never had to grow a small business themselves. Scarif One is built by someone who is doing it now — and uses the product daily on his own brand.
Why this exists.
I’m Tom Conway, founder of The Rum Infusionist Distillery — a small craft rum brand in Sussex. A couple of years ago I had the same problem every ecom founder has: I needed to generate a lot of marketing content, fast, in my brand’s voice, without paying an agency or hiring a marketing team I couldn’t afford.
I tried what everyone tries first. ChatGPT, Canva, Klaviyo, Loomly, a strategy consultant for quarterly reviews. The combined bill came to about $18K a year across the stack, and the workflow was brutal — paste brand context into ChatGPT every time, export to Canva, manually re-key into Klaviyo, schedule in Loomly, then explain my own numbers back to a consultant once a quarter. The output read like generic AI. Every time.
I built Scarif One for myself. The whole point was: a few clicks → multiple versions of properly-written, on-brand content. Ad creatives, social posts, content calendars, video gen, blog posts that actually got published with hero images, email HTML in my brand’s style. All from one source — a brand voice document the engine reads from on every gen.
Then I showed it to friends running other ecom brands. The vitamins guy. The skincare founder. The pet-treats brand. They wouldn’t give it back. Different products, different voices — same engine working for all of them, because the brand voice doc made it personal to each. They told me how much time it gave them back, how much better the output was than what they were producing across their stitched-together stack.
That’s when I realised this isn’t just my tool anymore. It’s a marketing team, content creation studio, and tracking dashboard all in one — and it works for any ecom brand that knows what they sound like, regardless of vertical.
I still run TRI on it every day. The dogfooding never stops, because I’m still trying to sell more rum. Every painful interaction I have with my own product becomes a feature the next week.
What we believe, hard-coded into every feature.
No special-cased features for big customers. Solo and Agency get the exact same generators, the exact same brand voice engine, the exact same integrations. We don’t hold core capability hostage to higher tiers.
Every Gemini call is wrapped in a budget check that aborts before billing. Hard ceilings. Mathematically impossible to wake up to a $250 surprise. We’d rather have you hit a soft pause than burn your budget.
The AI doesn’t infer your brand from your products. It reads a document you write and edit. Your voice is the input — the AI is just the typewriter. That’s why the output sounds like you, not like the model.
Privacy-conscious buyers, IT-mature operators, agencies whose clients sign DPAs — they all run Scarif One on their own hardware. Same software, no compromises. Hosted is just one of two ways to deploy.
One codebase, deployed everywhere. When someone reports a bug via the in-app widget, the fix ships the next day for every customer at once. No client tier gets stuck with broken code while another tier gets the fix.
Why AI marketing finally works for small business.
Two years ago, this product wasn’t possible. The AI models were too generic, the multi-modal stack was too brittle, and any tool you could build was either too dumb (generic output) or too expensive ($500+/month for an enterprise platform).
That changed when Gemini Pro 2.5 shipped with thinking mode + multimodal native + 1M-token context windows. Suddenly the model could read a 250-word brand voice doc, your product catalogue, and your last 50 reviews simultaneously — and write copy that actually sounds like you. The economics work for a $49/month tool because the underlying generation costs collapsed by 100×.
We caught that wave. Scarif One was designed for the cheapest, smartest models on the market — not the bloated stack of 2023. That’s why we can charge $49 instead of $500.
