Tutorial 11

The dashboard tour

Reading time: 15 minutes. Hands-on time: N/A โ€” read this with the dashboard open in another tab. What you'll have at the end: A mental map of every dashboard tile, when to use each, and which ones are safe to ignore until later.

The Scarif One dashboard has ~30 tiles. That's overwhelming on day 1 and natural on day 30. This tutorial groups them into "must-know now / use weekly / use monthly / nice to have" so you can stop scrolling.

The five rows of the dashboard

Tiles are loosely organised into five conceptual rows, even though the grid auto-flows:

Row 1 โ€” Make stuff

The creators. These are where you spend time daily.

TileWhat it doesFrequency
๐ŸŽฏ Ad CreativesGenerate ad copy + images for any product. The 9 concept types live here.Daily
๐Ÿ“ง EmailDraft email campaigns โ€” Pro 2.5 writes subject + preheader + HTML.2-3ร— / week
๐Ÿ” Ad Trends ResearchAI scans your niche, reports angles converting right now.Weekly
๐Ÿ“… Publish queueMulti-channel publish schedule across Meta, Klaviyo, etc.Daily once you publish

Day 1 priority: Ad Creatives for your first generation. The rest unlock as you mature.

Row 2 โ€” Foundation

The brand + integration plumbing.

โš™๏ธ Edit profileBrand voice + visual identity. The master prompt.Quarterly review

Day 1 priority: try Setup Concierge at least once. It's a 90-second flow that demos most of the system's capabilities (see tutorial 13).

Row 5 โ€” Operations

The grown-up tiles. Don't ignore.

Day 1 priority: Spend caps + AI quality + Approvals โ€” the three safety surfaces. Set conservatively, raise later.

What unlocks when

Some tiles are deliberately gated until your account has the data they need. Don't be surprised when these appear:

  • Subscriptions / recurring revenue appears once Shopify connects + you have any subscription products
  • Cart recovery appears once Shopify connects + you have โ‰ฅ1 abandoned cart in the last 30 days
  • Lifecycle segments appears once Shopify connects + you have โ‰ฅ10 customers
  • Reviews โ†’ UGC pipeline appears once Judge.me connects + you have โ‰ฅ1 photo review
  • Competitive intelligence appears once you've added โ‰ฅ1 competitor in /competitive
  • Analytics charts populate after first published ad
  • Strategy memo appears Monday morning of week 2

If you don't see a tile mentioned in another tutorial, check whether the prerequisite is met.

Sequencing for a new install

Here's the order most customers reach for tiles in their first month:

Week 1 โ€” Foundation

  1. โš™๏ธ Edit profile โ†’ finalise brand voice doc (tutorial 05)
  2. ๐Ÿ”Œ Integrations โ†’ connect Shopify (tutorial 02)
  3. ๐Ÿ’ฐ Spend caps + โธ Approvals โ†’ set safety limits (tutorial 09)
  4. ๐ŸŽฏ Ad Creatives โ†’ generate your first ad (tutorial 04)
  5. ๐ŸŽจ Brand Asset Library โ†’ upload founder photo + 3-5 process shots
  6. ๐Ÿ”Œ Integrations โ†’ connect Meta (tutorial 03)
  7. ๐Ÿ“… Publish queue โ†’ publish your first ad

By end of week 1: ~5 ads generated, ~1 published, brand voice converging.

Week 2 โ€” Volume

  1. ๐ŸŽฏ More ad creatives โ€” try all 9 concept types
  2. ๐Ÿ“ง Email โ†’ draft your first campaign
  3. ๐Ÿค– Setup Concierge โ†’ let AI propose 7 days of content (see tutorial 13)
  4. ๐Ÿ” Ad Trends Research โ†’ see what's converting in your niche

By end of week 2: ~20 ads generated, ~3-5 published, first email shipped.

Week 3 โ€” Connect the loop

  1. ๐Ÿ“Š Analytics โ†’ which ads are working
  2. ๐Ÿงญ Strategy โ†’ Monday memo arrives, read it
  3. โญ Reviews โ†’ if you have Judge.me, sync + draft replies
  4. ๐Ÿ•ต Competitive โ†’ add 2-3 competitors to monitor

By end of week 3: real performance data flowing, AI memory learning.

Week 4 โ€” Power use

  1. ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Personas โ†’ pre-flight test ads against synthetic customers
  2. ๐ŸŽฉ Campaigns โ†’ launch a multi-week autonomous campaign
  3. ๐Ÿ“ฆ Inventory โ†’ set stock thresholds for auto-pause
  4. ๐Ÿ” Lifecycle โ†’ set up first-time-buyer welcome flow

By end of week 4: dashboard feels familiar, AI memory has personality, the bug widget has 3-5 entries.

Month 2+ โ€” Optimisation

  1. ๐Ÿ”ฌ Diagnose โ†’ monthly health check
  2. โšก AI quality โ†’ tune which tasks get Pro vs. Flash
  3. ๐Ÿงฉ Templates โ†’ apply proven ad layouts from the template gallery to your own products
  4. ๐Ÿ“… Calendar โ†’ plan seasonal content tied to your locale

Tiles you can probably skip

Not every tile is for every business. Honest list:

  • ๐ŸŒ Wholesale โ€” only matters if you sell B2B. Skip if pure DTC.
  • ๐Ÿ’ณ Subscriptions โ€” only matters if you sell recurring products.
  • ๐Ÿ“ SEO blog โ€” useful if you blog regularly. Skip if you don't.
  • ๐ŸŽฉ Campaigns โ€” overkill for solo founders. Use for actual launches.
  • ๐Ÿงฉ Templates โ€” ready-made ad layouts. Skip if you're not running paid ads yet.

You can always come back to a "skipped" tile when its use case becomes relevant.

Power-user navigation tricks

After a few weeks you'll get tired of scrolling. A few ways to speed up:

Keyboard navigation

  • cmd+k (Mac) / ctrl+k (Windows) โ€” opens command palette. Type any tile name and hit enter.
  • cmd+/ โ€” global help search.
  • g then a letter โ€” quick-jump (e.g. g a for ad creatives, g e for email). Hit g ? to see the full list.

Bookmarks

The browser bookmarks the routes directly:

  • dashboard.yourbrand.com/create/ad-creatives
  • dashboard.yourbrand.com/admin/health
  • dashboard.yourbrand.com/spend-caps

Bookmark your 5 most-used. Massively faster than dashboard scrolling.

Pinned tiles

Right-click any tile โ†’ Pin to top. The pinned tiles show in a separate row above the grid. You can pin up to 6.

When in doubt

If you don't know which tile to use:

  1. ๐Ÿ’ฌ Converse โ€” natural language. "I want to make an ad for our new espresso blend" works. The system routes you to the right place.
  2. /help โ€” AI help inbox. Same pattern.
  3. ๐Ÿ› in the bottom-right of any page โ€” file a bug report asking "where do I X?" The reply gets you both an answer + improves the docs for future customers.

The dashboard is meant to be navigable by intuition. If you can't find something in 30 seconds, that's a bug we want to know about.

Where to next

  • Tutorial 13 โ€” Setup Concierge (now that you've seen all the tiles, run the agent that uses all of them)
  • Tutorial 12 โ€” Your weekly strategy memo (the Monday-morning AI summary)
  • Tutorial 14 โ€” Personas (a power tool you'll graduate to)
  • Tutorial 19 โ€” Updates (so you know how new features land in your dashboard)
